"The Grand Canyon fills me with awe. It is beyond comparison—beyond description; absolutely unparalleled through-out the wide world... Let this great wonder of nature remain as it now is.” Those were the words of President Theodore Roosevelt when he visited the Grand Canyon in 1903. The canyon was designated a National Park in 1919, officially protecting the gorge and the lands around it for future generations to come. This Anderson Design Group National Parks poster shows some of that history with a depiction of the old Desert View Watchtower, a stone, 70 ft. tall structure that offers unparalleled views of the canyon. An original ADG Store design, the vintage poster inspires nostalgia for the early-1900s, the period when most of the National Parks were created.
