Cicada invasion! That’s right, they’re here! Arriving by the millions, the Southeast is looking at an early arrival of swarms of cicada bugs. Cicadas, unlike almost any other insect, burrow beneath the earth and live subterranean lives for about a decade before they surface. But when they DO surface, it’s an experience like no other! Millions of these flying critters sail through the air and cover our homes, cars, trees, etc. And if you can’t see them right away, you will definitely HEAR them right away! These little weirdos are the loudest bug in the world, with a shrill call that can reach up to 120 decibels! Excited about the coming invasion, (cicadas are actually quite harmless, we promise!), our vintage poster artists here at Anderson Design Group hand-rendered a vintage-styled poster of the invading horde. Inspired by the creepy, cheesy, horror comic book covers and B movie poster art of the 1950s, this artwork would be a great way for you to celebrate the fact that you survived the 2020 cicada invasion! The artwork is available in a style of your choosing as a poster, print, canvas, canvas banner, postcard, notecard, or metal sign.
