May Natural History Museum is a fascinating entomology museum in Rock Creek Park, Colorado, not far from Colorado Springs. The museum offers the world's largest private insect collection, featuring over 7,000 species of beautiful butterflies, moths, bizarre beetles, giant spiders, deadly scorpions and more! Known as the “Bug Museum” to many children and families around the area, the May Natural History Museum is a fun place for bug enthusiasts, scientists and anybody wanting to explore the world of creepy and crawly critters. For over 80 years, May Museum Founder James May traveled the world finding over 100,000 fascinating specimens of bugs, insects and other things that crawl on the ground. Visitors can enjoy an intimate encounter with the world’s largest private collections of outstanding giant insects, related creatures and rare artifacts. Inspired by classic roadside Americana, Anderson Design Group poster artists hand-rendered a vintage-styled poster of the museum's colossal mascot—Herkimer. This vintage-looking poster is crafted in a style that’s reminiscent of the golden age of American TravelPoster Art, and it's available as a poster print, canvas, metal sign, mini-canvas, or as a notecard or postcard, including with multiple size options available for the prints, canvases, mini-canvases, and metal signs.
