Acadia National Park: Emblem Print
2017 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
All across the picturesque Mount Desert Island, carriage roads allow visitors to travel Acadia
National Park by foot, bicycle, or horseback (no cars allowed). And this island park is best enjoyed without the rumble
of an automobile, especially if visitors hope to catch a glimpse of an elusive Atlantic puffin,
pictured here. Acadia National Park is known for its rich biodiversity and roaring seashore, rocky
headlands, and deep evergreen woods. Our artists at Anderson Design Group honored the park with
its own vintage poster emblem, a badge designed in the WPA-commissioned style of the early 1900s.
To learn more about the park and how to just about guarantee a puffin sighting, check out the Friends of Acadia group.
