England, London: Mid-Century Modern
2014 By Bekah Wertz, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Did you know that over three hundred languages are spoken in London? One of the most diverse cities
in the world, London houses over 8 million residents. These residents speak languages from Bengali to
Gujarati, Punjabi to Mandarin, Cantonese to Hokkien, English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and
hundreds more. London is sometimes called the “Square Mile” as the city is just over one square mile
in area. Only about ten thousand people live within the famous square mile, but millions more live in
the urban and metro areas surrounding. Anderson Design Group fashioned a mid-century modern
illustration of the Big Ben clock tower and the Tower Bridge, both of which reside on the River
Thames. This artwork is available as a framed print, canvas banner, framed postcard, or as a set of
notecards. To learn more about these cultural and historic icons, check out Visit
Britain.
