National parks in the Midwest are the hidden gems of American wilderness. They preserve and protect some of the most incredible natural and cultural features so that future generations can enjoy them, and many of these parks are not that well-known. Case in point: tucked into the Cuyahoga River Valley between Cleveland, Ohio, and Akron, Ohio, Cuyahoga Valley National Park was designated to preserve not just a beautiful natural area but also a special piece of American history. Visitors to the park appreciate lush forests, rivers, waterfalls, and hiking and picnic areas. To celebrate the park, Anderson Design Group teamed up with master pastel artist and painter Arden von Haeger to hand-render an original illustration. Harkening back to the 20th century when travel art was used to promote wilderness spaces and the great American outdoors, Arden’s Art Deco styling combines with ADG’s vintage poster art themes and iconic travel art styles to create an inventive, colorful, and wanderlust-inspiring take on one of the country’s most beloved parks.
