New mythical creature art and national park legend art, hot off the press! Just when you thought the woods couldn’t be more spooky, Anderson Design Group collaborating artist Arden von Haeger launched himself on the mission of depicting mythical creatures of the national parks in nature settings across the country. While the Bigfoot creature is typically associated with West Coast national parks, the beast is so frequently sighted, Arden chose to depict Bigfoot in a forest setting that could easily be a forest anywhere in the United States. While the creature is said to be an icon of American folklore and a “fictitious” creature, dozens of Americans will swear that they have sighted Bigfoot. And Bigfoot is not a new story, either. While Bigfoot sightings didn’t really start occurring until the mid-1900s, the indigenous peoples of North America have told stories for hundreds of years of a “primitive man” walking among them. In fact, the name “Sasquatch” is actually a native term from the Sts’ailes First Nation in western Canada. This iconic monster design is available as a poster print (framed or unframed), canvas, metal sign, or as a notecard or postcard, with multiple size options available for prints, canvases, and metal signs. To learn more about this creature and so many others, check out this authoritative resource of spooky creatures and legends, Cryptids Fandom.
