The Whintosser (AKA The Central American Whintosser) is an aggressively fearsome creature from lumberjack tales of North America in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This creature lives in the coastal ranges of California, in the region of Isthmus. It has a triangular body with a head and tail that can swivel around, capable of spinning around 100 times per minute. The Whintosser is extremely aggressive. It has three sets of legs which help it to stabilize itself during earthquakes which are frequent in the region. These legs are positioned all around its body enabling it to walk upside down, sideways and on the ground. The animal's fur is quite bristly and slants at a sharp angle. This beast was known to injure loggers, hikers, and explorers who ventured too deeply into the vast Redwood forests of northern California. The only known way to kill the creature is to trap it in a log flume pipe where the distressed Whintosser trying to move in all directions will tear itself apart. Rendered by the talented artists of Anderson Design Group, this classic illustration will look great as a framed print, metal sign, canvas, or as a set of notecards or postcards.
