Pinnacles National Park: Desert Shadows
Just 80 miles southeast of San Jose, Pinnacles National Park serves as a beautiful getaway for at least 200,000 people every year. The park offers mountainous areas, towering spires, high rock walls, deep pools of water, forests, streams, and plenty of footpaths to see it all. Much of the paths were constructed in 1933 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, ensuring that the park would be enjoyed for generations to come. Inspired by the rugged beauty of this desert wonderland, Anderson Design Group’s artist collaborator Arden von Haeger handcrafted a vintage travel poster of Pinnacle's epic rock formations, styling the poster with influences from mid-century WPA-commissioned artwork. Arden's classic hand-rendered illustration style conveys grandeur, romance, and nuance. His inventive use of color and his unique Art Deco styling deliver a delightful new take on some of America's most iconic destinations. To learn more about the park and its history, visit the Pinnacles National Park Foundation.
