Redwood National Park: Whispering Wind
A leisurely stroll among the old-growth coast redwoods of Redwood National Park makes one feel as though they’ve left this world and entered a fantasy novel. A thick canopy hundreds of feet above shades the cool forest floor. Beams of sunlight break through, prompting photosynthesis in an undergrowth where horsetail ferns and banana slugs contribute to a critical ecosystem centered around some of the oldest, tallest trees in the world. To celebrate the park, Anderson Design Group collaborated with digital painter Mary Withers Kirkland on a series of classic national park posters. Mary's unique stylization and lyrical sense of color capture the drama of this ancient forest turned to stone.
