Theodore Roosevelt National Park: Bison Country
Though it wasn't the first national park in terms of chronology, Theodore Roosevelt National Park holds a special place in national park history. The landscape now preserved by the park was visited by Theodore Roosevelt in 1883, and he became so enamored with the region that, when he won the presidential election in 1904, he committed much of his presidency to land preservation through the National Park system. Roosevelt added five national parks to the roster during his presidency, doubling the total number of national parks in the nation at the time. To celebrate the North Dakota paradise that is Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Anderson Design Group collaborated with master artist and painter Arden von Haeger to create this hand-rendered illustration. Arden's classic style conveys grandeur, romance, and nuance. His inventive use of color and his unique Art Deco styling deliver a delightful new take on some of America's most iconic destinations. This retro design and original national park art is available as a poster, print, canvas, mini canvas, metal sign, notecard, or postcard.
