We created a special collection of mod art some years ago, but it had been awhile since we’d added to it, so you can imagine our joy when we came across mod artist and digital painter Annie E. Cauffman! Annie's bold sense of style and her iconic vintage mid-century mod rendering techniques add a classic jet-age whimsey to our popular National Park poster art series. Reminiscent of the iconic TWA posters of the mid-20th Century, this retro design celebrates the climbers who flock to Yosemite Valley day and night throughout the climbing season. Why do they flock to this mountain? Because El Capitan is an iconic vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park, on the north side of Yosemite Valley. The granite monolith is about 3,000 feet from base to summit along its tallest face. Yosemite Valley is about 3,000 feet deep, and it runs for about seven miles before it opens out into wider lands beyond. Simply stated, a rock climber’s dream! This classic National Park poster can be custom-ordered in a variety of sizes and formats. To learn more about Yosemite, visit the Yosemite Conservancy.
