American College Towns: Syracuse, NY By Kevin Clark, Joel Anderson, 2019
- American College Towns: Syracuse, NY
Home to Syracuse University and located in beautiful upstate New York, Syracuse is a historical, cultural, intellectual, and industrial city. Founded in 1774 and playing a critical role in both the industrial and educational development of the Northeast, Syracuse has been a focal point for much of American history. Syracuse University was established in 1870, making it one of the oldest still- operating universities in New York State. Syracuse also played a crucial role in the development of the Erie Canal and the American railroad network. Inspired by a city so rich in history and culture, Anderson Design Group hand-rendered vintage poster art of the city. The artwork is styled after the Golden Age of Illustration, the early-20th century travel posters that used to be on display in shop windows and travel bureaus in downtown Syracuse. Available as a canvas, print, poster, framed print, metal sign, or canvas banner, this artwork looks fantastic on any wall.
