American College Towns: Syracuse, NY By Kevin Clark, Joel Anderson, 2019
- American College Towns: Syracuse, NY
Syracuse is the fifth-most populous city in the state of New York following New York City, Buffalo, Rochester, and Yonkers. It is the economic and educational hub of Central New York, a region with over one million inhabitants. Syracuse was named after the classical Greek city Syracuse, a city on the eastern coast of the Italian island of Sicily. It has been a major crossroads over the last two centuries, first between the Erie Canal, then the railway network. Syracuse is a wonderful college town—home to Syracuse University, as well as Le Moyne College. Rendered by the artists of Anderson Design Group in the style of early 20th-Century travel posters, this classic college town design will look great as a framed print, canvas, metal sign, canvas banner, as a postcard or a notecard.
