The Biltmore Estate is a beautiful historic house museum and tourist attraction in Asheville, North Carolina. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest, vineyards, gardens and ponds, the setting is just as amazing as the mansion. Biltmore House, the main residence, is a Châteauesque-style mansion built for George Washington Vanderbilt II between 1889 and 1895 and is the largest privately owned house in the United States, at 178,926 square feet of floor space (135,280 square feet of living area). Still owned by George Vanderbilt's descendants, it remains one of the most prominent examples of Gilded Age mansions. Rendered by the award-winning artists of Anderson Design Group in the style of early 20th-Century travel posters, this classic design will look great as a framed print, canvas, metal sign, canvas banner, as a postcard or a notecard.
