There are truly not many animals as interesting or fascinatingly odd and unique as the seahorse. A seahorse is any of 46 species of small marine fish in the genus called Hippocampus. "Hippocampus" comes from the Ancient Greek hippokampos, itself from hippos meaning "horse" and kampos meaning “sea monster.” There are several beautiful varieties of seahorse that can be found swimming off the coast of Florida, giving visitors and locals alike a real treat should they spot one in the shallow waters off an iconic Florida beach. Inspired and intrigued by the unique creatures, the artists of Anderson Design Group have rendered this classic design of a seahorse in the tradition of the Golden Age of Poster Art. This retro-styled artwork will look great as an art print, notecard, postcard, metal sign, canvas, or mini-canvas.
