Mobile, Alabama is the birthplace of America's original Mardi Gras. This famous celebration started in 1703 in Mobile, and it was revived after the Civil War when Joe Cain, fed up with post-war misery, led an impromptu parade down city streets. Each year since, the streets of downtown Mobile have been filled with the sights and sounds of live marching bands, brilliant-colored floats, and crowds of festive parade goers. Rendered by the award-winning artists of Anderson Design Group in the style of early 20th-Century travel posters, this classic design will look great as a framed print, canvas, metal sign, canvas banner, as a postcard or a notecard.
