New York City: Rockefeller Center By Joel Anderson, 2017
- New York City: Rockefeller Center
The Rockefeller Center is a beautiful complex of 19 high-rise commercial buildings that are spread over 22 acres of land in Midtown, Manhattan. The buildings that comprise the Rockefeller Center were constructed in the Art Deco style of the mid-1900s, a fitting style for the buildings considering that construction took place during the 1930s and Art Deco was in full swing by then. Inspired by the artistry that went into the design of the Center, Anderson Design Group fashioned a hand-styled illustration of the iconic Prometheus sculpture in the Lower Plaza of the Center. This illustration was itself fashioned after the Art Deco style, all to make the vintage travel poster a true commemoration of the art influences of the era.
