They sing, they fly around, they run into things, they mate a lot, they cause a bit of a fuss, they’re basically harmless, and they talk the big talk and walk the big walk (until they fly into a windshield that is). The Great Southern Brood of cicadas is back in the Southeast once again, flying in swarms, making lots of noise, covering our trees, homes, cars, yards, etc. These singing rascals are attempting to attract mates in the few short weeks they have left on the Earth. And who can blame them? In a lot of ways, cicadas fit right in among the roar of NASCAR and the loud antics of us Southern bumpkins. Maybe that’s why we like cicadas so much! Inspired by these silly little rascals, our artists here at Anderson Design Group hand-rendered vintage poster art of the cicada. Decorate in style and silliness with this original design as a poster, canvas, print, metal sign, notecard, postcard, or canvas banner.
