A bird that's considered to be an iconic staple resident of Florida’s sandy shores, sandpipers are delightful to watch scurrying around on the beach. They often run in little lines in and out of the surf, foraging for buried shells and other tasty delicacies. There are many species called sandpipers, as well as those called by names such as curlew and snipe.
