Metropolis, a fictional Utopia exists above a bleak underworld populated by mistreated workers. When the privileged youth Freder discovers the grim scene under the highly stylized futuristic city, he becomes intent on helping the workers. This rendering of the city of Metropolis is inspired by the 1927 German expressionist science-fiction silent film directed by Fritz Lang and written by Thea von Harbou in collaboration with Lang, based on von Harbou's 1925 novel of the same name. Inspired by the Art Deco design of Metropolis, the artists of Anderson Design Group have created a Fantasy Travel Poster depicting this futuristic destination. These original hand-illustrated prints would make a great gift for any history, fantasy, or travel buff. This design will make an epic accent as a poster, canvas, metal sign, postcard, or note card.
