Home of the University of Alabama, Stillman College, and Shelton State Community College, Tuscaloosa, Alabama is a college town if there ever was one. Tuscaloosa is also a city with important historical significance, as it was the state’s capital from 1826 to 1846. Though the historic capitol building suffered a fire in 1923, city government preserved the stone foundation and two columns which survived the blaze. Keeping history alive is very important to our team at Anderson Design Group, so we set to work hand-illustrating this turn-of-the-century illustration to commemorate the old capitol building. Order this token of history to show your pride for Tuscaloosa, or as a reminder that the past is preserved in art. To learn more about the town and its other historic buildings, check out the Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports website.
