Tallahassee is both the state capitol of Florida and an important American college town. The city is home to Florida State University, a public research university. It is a senior member of the State University System of Florida. Chartered in 1851, the university is located on Florida's oldest continuous site of higher education. The city is also famous for its Capitol Complex, which includes the restored Historic Capitol, now a museum with displays on political history. The 1970s Capitol tower offers city views from its 22nd-floor observation deck. Nearby, exhibits at the Museum of Florida History cover European colonization, the Civil War, and WWII. Inspired by the aesthetic beauty of Tallahassee and its historic roots as a college town, Anderson Design Group’s award-winning poster artists created an original illustration of Tallahassee, crafted in the style of vintage poster art and retro travel art. You can order this retro-styled artwork as a framed print, poster print, canvas, mini-canvas, metal sign, or as a set of notecards or postcards.
