What could be better than a trip to the East Coast in the summertime? Newport, Rhode Island is a favored tourist destination, a beautiful oceanside town with plenty of sailing opportunities, beachside enjoyment, lots of shopping locales, fine dining, etc. And as for local landmarks, the Newport Bridge is one of the best. Illustrated here in a stylish rendition of WPA-commissioned artwork of the mid-20th century, the Newport Bridge is an 11,000 ft long bridge connecting Newport and Jamestown. Thousands cross it everyday, mostly commuters, but many tourists as well. This illustration would make a great wall decoration for a Newport resident or visitor, or it could make a fantastic gift for the bridge enthusiast or East Coast native in your life.
