Constructed in 1836, the Cape Spear Lighthouse is a relic of Newfoundland history, an ancient structure that served as a beacon of safety to passing ships until 1955. Today, Cape Spear functions mainly as a tourist attraction, a popular region on the island of Newfoundland where Canadians and foreigners alike travel as far east as they possibly can in Canada. Inspired by this historic cape, the lighthouse, and the whales that often pass by, Anderson Design Group created vintage travel poster art of the cape, an iconic design of a blue whale breaching in the deep waters near the lighthouse. Perfect as a conversation piece and home decor item, you can order this retro artwork as an art print, canvas banner, framed print, framed postcard, or metal sign.
