Cameroon is located on the Gulf of Guinea, in the western and central part of Africa. The country has varied terrain and wildlife and is considered one of the richest countries in Africa in terms of its biodiversity. Its inland capital, Yaoundé, and its biggest city, the seaport Douala, are transit points to tourism sites throughout the country, as well as beach resorts like Kribi, which is near the incredible Chutes de la Lobé waterfalls. Pictured in this vintage poster art and retro travel art design, Cameroon’s Reunification Monument was constructed in the 1970s to memorialize the post-colonial merging of British and French Cameroon. Located in Yaounde, the monument’s architects are Gedeon Mpondo and Engelbert Mveng. Another reunification monument, albeit far less well-known, is located in the city of Mamfe. Anderson Design Group artists have rendered this classic World Travel design to look great as a poster, canvas, metal sign, or framed print, or as a postcard or set of notecards.
