During the 1800s, trophy hunting became so popular in Latin America and Africa that the nations of those regions began establishing wildlife preserves and national parks to ensure stunning natural beauty and biodiverse wildlife would remain protected into perpetuity. Case in point, Corcovado National Park in Costa Rica is considered one of the world's most biodiverse regions; its wildlife includes scarlet macaws, tapirs, jaguars, and squirrel monkeys. Hiking trails follow coastal and inland routes through habitats ranging from Pacific beaches and mangrove swamps to lowland rainforests. To celebrate the national parks in the U.S. and around the world, Anderson Design Group poster artists hand-rendered this original illustration of the majestic leopard in the fashion of vintage poster art, vintage travel art, and Golden Age of Illustration art. This design is available as a poster, print, metal sign, notecard, or postcard. To learn more about this and so many other beautiful world destinations, check out the World Travel Guide.
