A legendary, prehistoric monument, one of the ancient wonders of the world, over 5,000 years old, and a World Heritage Site, Stonehenge is without a doubt one of the most famous historic sites on Earth. No one knows exactly how or why the site was built and the site has amazed and intrigued visitors, historians, and scholars alike for centuries. Stonehenge consists of a ring of standing stones, each around 13 feet high, seven feet wide, and weighing around 25 tons. The stones are set within earthworks in the middle of the most dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred burial mounds. It’s still not entirely understood how the site was constructed, though there are several theories. Amazed by the monument, Anderson Design Group hand-rendered vintage poster art of the site, designing the poster in a style reminiscent of the vintage art of the early-20th century. Available as a poster, print, banner, notecard, this design would make an excellent centerpiece or conversation starter. Stonehenge is a stunning and memorable monument, a location that thousands upon thousands of people travel to each year.
