Libya, Africa By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson, 2020
- Libya, Africa
Libya is a country in North Africa—rich in history, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, Egypt to the east, Sudan to the southeast, Chad to the south, Niger to the southwest, Algeria to the west, and Tunisia to the northwest. The Arch of Septimius Severus is a triumphal arch in Leptis Magna, located in present-day Libya. It was commissioned by the Libya-born Roman Emperor Septimius Severus around 203 AD and is now protected as a World Heritage site.
