Lithuania: Trakai Island
Trakai is a city and lake resort in Lithuania. It lies 17 miles west of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Because of its proximity to Vilnius, Trakai is a popular tourist destination. A notable feature of Trakai is that the city was built and preserved by people of different nationalities. Historically, communities of Karaims, Tatars, Lithuanians, Russians, Jews and Poles lived here. At one point in history, Lithuania was the largest country in all of Europe. About 33 percent of Lithuania’s area is covered by hardwood forests, some of which are untouched virgin forests. Anderson Design Group has crafted this vintage travel poster art design to shine on a canvas, art print, metal sign, postcard, or as a set of notecards or postcards.
