A Synopsis of Wilderness & Wonder: Your Guide to the Best National Parks to Visit in the US
For the first time, the 63 US National Parks and their iconic wilderness and natural wonders are beautifully celebrated in original poster art by master illustrator Kenneth Crane and writer/researcher Ren Brabenec.
In partnership with and directed by Anderson Design Group’s founder Joel Anderson, an internationally renowned illustrator, author, and poster artist, the three friends collaborated to create an intimate look at America’s national parks through colorful and informative spot illustrations, charts, timelines, and photography.
The book is filled with over 560 renderings drawn from field notes, plus dozens of photos shot on location during nature studies and expeditions into the parks. For those trying to decide which are the best national parks to visit in the US, this book will show them that all the parks are unique and special while assisting them in zeroing in and finding their favorite parks.
The amazing parks presented in this book bring readers of all ages into an up-close experience with the plants, animals, and human history that make our public lands the national treasures we have all come to know them as. Kenneth has artfully woven together fascinating maps, diagrams, and wildlife renditions. Ren has added historical information, handy travel tips, and written descriptions of each park’s compelling features. Joel has knit together Ken's art, photos, and field notes, along with Ren's travel tips, fun facts, and descriptions into accessible, elegant spreads that make this the most gorgeous and engaging Anderson Design Group coffee table book to date.
This one-of-a-kind treasure celebrates the wild beauty and the wondrous gift of America's cherished national parks, presented in a format that will appeal to nature lovers of all ages.
