7 Wonders of the Ancient World: The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
2025 By Aaron Johnson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
To have stood and witnessed the Hanging Gardens must have been the experience of a lifetime! Built in 600 BC and destroyed by an earthquake in 226 BC, the elaborate gardens were a series of rooftop gardens commissioned by King Nebuchadnezzar II for his wife. The gardens stood in stark contrast to the desert of the region, earning them a place as one of the 7 Wonders. Vintage poster art and retro-styled travel art provide the perfect style for depicting world travel destinations, especially the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World! This original travel poster and hand-rendered art design will look great on any wall as an unframed print, framed illustration or poster, as a metal sign, canvas, mini canvas, or as a set of note cards or postcards. Available in multiple size options, this whimsical travel art was fashioned in the style of 20th-century vintage art.
