About the Art
Akron has a rich history as being a major industrial city, especially during America’s Industrial Revolution. The factories and plants in Akron earned it the nicknames “Rubber Capital of the World, “Rubber City,” “City of Invention,” and “Tire City.” Visitors to the city enjoy many highlights and attractions, including the Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, the Tudor Revival manor house, the Akron Art Museum, the Hale Farm, and the Goodyear Airdock, an airship hangar that houses the famous Goodyear blimp. Inspired by a true America city, the artists of Anderson Design Group rendered a classic design of the city, a vintage travel poster and original illustration that is available as a poster, print, notecard, postcard, canvas, or metal sign.
