United States Armed Forces: Air Force
2014 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
The American military has extended its protective arm all around the world, setting up military bases in
nations where the American armed forces have served. For example, the Kadena Air Force Base was
established in Okinawa, Japan in 1945, shortly after the defeat of Japan in World War II. Kadena Air
Force Base is still in use today, now a dual, teamwork effort between the Japanese and American
militaries and civilians. To honor our men and women who serve overseas, Anderson Design Group
handcrafted a vintage travel poster of Kadena, showcasing one of the historic buildings near the base.
Perfect as a gift for the air force service member in your life, this vintage travel poster can be ordered
as a framed print, canvas banner, framed postcard, or as a set of notecards or postcards. To learn more
about Kadena, check out the Kadena Website.
