United States Armed Forces: Navy
2014 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Pearl Harbor is a famous naval base on the island of Oahu, in the Hawaiian archipelago. The base is
best known for the attack it suffered on December 7th, 1941. But the base recovered, and it is still
operating to this day, determined to create a major hub for American naval activity in the Pacific. The
base now even serves as a Joint Base for Air Force activity as well. To honor the base and its history,
Anderson Design Group handcrafted this American Travel illustration, using artistic inspirations
likened to the Golden Age of Illustration style of the early-1900s. Remember a fond trip to the harbor
or show your respect for the armed forces with this vintage travel art as a framed print, canvas banner,
or set of notecards or postcards.
