American College Towns: Baton Rouge, LA
2014 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Baton Rouge is the state capital of Louisiana, a college town, a port town, an industrial magnet,
technological hub, and historical district all combined to make for a city like no other. Baton Rouge
(French for “red stick”) is home to the famous Louisiana State University, the flagship university for
the state and the largest institute of higher education in Louisiana. Now, thanks to the ADG American
Travel series, residents and visitors of Baton Rouge alike can show their love for the city with vintage
poster art that goes perfectly with home decor. Style a room with a canvas banner of this early-1900s
illustration, or conserve wall space with a framed postcard or set of notecards instead.
