American College Towns: Cambridge, MA
2020 By Kevin Clark, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Perhaps one of the most famous college towns in the U.S., Cambridge is home to Harvard and the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Cambridge was once the capital city of Massachusetts, back
when the city was founded in 1630. Cambridge is also known for being a port, a city of innovation (the
first railroad passenger cars were made there!) and for being the site of the first long-distance telephone
call in 1878. Seeking to create an art series of America’s great college towns, Anderson Design Group
artists rendered this design of Cambridge in the vintage styles of early-20th century poster art. The
perfect gift for Harvard or MIT alumni, this artwork looks great as a poster, print, banner, notecard,
postcard, or metal sign. To learn more about Cambridge, be sure to visit the website for Cambridge
