American College Towns: Norman, Oklahoma
2005 By Douglass Cole, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Norman, Oklahoma offers big city attractions and activities. Home to the University of Oklahoma "Sooners", this vibrant city boasts a wide variety of neighborhoods and entertainment options while still exuding its small-town charm. Founded in 1890, the University of Oklahoma was actually established 17 years prior to Oklahoma’s statehood. Since then, Norman has become a destination all on its own, offering world-class athletics, arts, music and culture, and leisure activities featured in its well-curated lakes, parks, and trails for hiking and biking. Norman is the third most populous city in the state of Oklahoma. This Norman street scene features the famous Red Tail Hawk mural by Oklahoma artist Rick Sinnett. To celebrate this beloved college town, Anderson Design Group has rendered this classic poster of Norman's historic downtown district. A perfect gift for the college student or alum in your life, this original art would look great as a print, poster, metal sign, notecard, or postcard.
