American College Towns: State College, PA
2024 By Douglass Cole, Joel Anderson
About the Art
American college towns embody much of the nation’s history and culture. Beyond their historic significance, they are also home to the nation’s most prestigious colleges and universities. Case in point: State College is home to Penn State University’s main campus. The university's Palmer Museum of Art offers collections ranging from ancient ceramics to 20th-century American art. Beaver Stadium hosts Penn State’s football team. Discovery Space is a children’s science museum with dozens of interactive exhibits. Trails weave through Rothrock State Forest to the south. Vintage poster art provides the perfect style for depicting American travel destinations, and this original travel poster and hand-rendered art design will look great as an unframed print, framed illustration, notecard, postcard, metal sign, canvas, or mini canvas. Available in multiple size options, this whimsical travel art was fashioned in the style of 20th-century vintage art and the iconic travel art and retro art that first promoted American travel and adventure.
