A Midsummer Night's Dream: William Shakespeare
2026 By Aaron Johnson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
A Midsummer Night's Dream is a popular Shakespearean comedy about four young Athenian lovers, a group of amateur actors, and fairies whose magical antics intertwine in a forest outside Athens, all set against the backdrop of Duke Theseus's wedding to Hippolyta. The plot involves love triangles, mistaken identities caused by a magical love potion, and a comical play-within-a-play, exploring themes of love, reality, and illusion. To celebrate this classic work of literature, the artists of Anderson Design Group rendered this iconic book cover and vintage poster design as a part of the Literary Classics Collection, promoting great stories of all genres in 20th-century-inspired art, poster art, and original illustrations. This retro art is available as a poster, print, notecard, postcard, canvas, or metal sign.
