Asbury Park NJ

Asbury Park is a beachfront city located on the Jersey Shore in New Jersey, and is part of the New York metropolitan area. Developed in 1871 as a residential resort by New York brush manufacturer James A. Bradley, the city was named for Francis Asbury, the first American bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church in the United States. In 2022, Asbury Park’s beach was named one of the best in the world by Money and one of the best in the country by Travel + Leisure. The iconic Paramount Theatre is co-located with the Asbury Park Convention Hall on the boardwalk along the Atlantic Ocean. The two are connected by an arcade that spans the boardwalk, and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the east, and Bradley Park on the west.
