Asteroid Gold Rush
2024 By Aaron Johnson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Could it be possible that one day humans will recreate the gold rushes that have occurred on Earth… in Space?? For those who have seen a few western films, in the Old West they used to say, “There's GOLD in them thar hills!” But in the future, prospectors might just be saying that about nearby asteroids! Asteroids, sometimes called minor planets, are rocky, airless remnants left over from the early formation of our solar system about 4.6 billion years ago. It’s difficult to say for sure, but they may contain useful and even precious minerals and metals that potentially could be mined, transported to Earth, and refined. Celebrating the vintage art and designs of space travel from the early and mid-20th century, Anderson Design Group poster artists created this original illustration and vintage poster art of what the classic Old West miner might look like in the Space Age. The perfect addition to your home or office decor, this hand-rendered design fashioned in the style of vintage poster art and space age art will look great as a print, poster, notecard, postcard, metal sign, canvas, or mini canvas.
