Australia: Melbourne/Brighton Beach
2012 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Brighton Beach is not only a beautiful beach and a great place to catch some vitamin D, this beach is also a bit of
a historical attraction. The nearby Sea Life Centre is the world’s oldest aquarium, built in 1872 and the home to
over 3,500 sea creatures. The Brighton Palace Pier, another preserved relic from a bygone century, was built in
1899 and is over 1,760 feet long. To celebrate such an iconic Aussieland beach, Anderson Design Group
handcrafted a vintage travel poster of the beach and the “beach shacks” that dot Brighton Beach. This retro
artwork is available as a framed print, canvas banner, metal sign, framed postcard, or as a set of notecards or
postcards. To learn more about the beach and Melbourne’s other attractions, check out Australia
Tourism.
