Australia: Melbourne Tram Car
2013 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Did you know that, if you travel to Melbourne, you can tour sections of the city on an antique tram car?
The Flinders Street Railway Station was the first railway station ever established in an Australian City.
And in the late-1920s it was the busiest railway station in the world! The station is still operating to this
day, offering visitors an old fashioned way of commuting across town. To celebrate the tram cars,
Anderson Design Group handcrafted a vintage travel poster, styling the artwork after the illustration
fashions of the early-1900s. You can customize your classic art piece as framed print, canvas banner,
metal sign, framed postcard, or as a set of notecards or postcards. To learn more about the tram car and
other restored and celebrated relics of Australia, check out Australia
Tourism.
