Big Bend National Park: Balanced Rock
2014 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Named after a sweeping bend in the river Rio Grande which comprises the park’s southern
boundary, Big Bend National Park brings the rich history and diverse geography of West Texas to thousands
of visitors every year. Big Bend is a site of impressive geological formations with unique shapes carved
into the hillsides and buttes. Impressive monoliths like Balanced Rock catch the
breath and hold the eye when visitors first encounter it. Anderson Design Group took inspiration from this experience. Hand-designed with brush, stylus,
and pencil, this national park print would make an excellent canvas banner or framed vintage poster for
an office or sitting room. To learn more about Big Bend, visit the Big Bend
Conservancy.
