Birmingham: Alabama Railroad Park
2017 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
The Alabama Railroad Park in Birmingham is a beautiful, 19 acre park designed by Tom Leader and
built in 2010 by local general contractors Brasfield and Gorrie. The park offers a greenway for
exercise, walking, and general outdoor enjoyment along Birmingham’s historic railroad district. The
railroad was a major part of Birmingham’s history, so the park’s location has historic significance too.
Being that we are appreciators of parks, nature, and anything historic, our team at Anderson Design
Studios was inspired to hand-create this vintage poster art as our own “tipping of the hat” to
Birmingham’s accomplishments. Show your appreciation for the park and the city it calls home with a
canvas banner of this illustration, or opt for a retro metal sign or classic framed print. To learn more
about the park, visit the Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitor’s Bureau.
