Bolivia: Copacabana
2018 By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Bolivia is known for its historic cities, but few such cities rival the beauty and cultural history of
Copacabana. Located on Lake Titicaca, this city is known for its religious festivals and its close
proximity to Isla de Sol and Isla de la Luna, two sacred islands in Lake Titicaca. Copacabana is also
known for its main square, the Catedral de la Virgen de la Candelaria. This cathedral is a major
pilgrimage site. The plaza and cathedral is decorated with Moorish domes and the Virgen de la
Candelaria sculpture. Inspired by the history and cultural traditions of this city, Anderson Design Group
crafted a vintage travel poster of the city, a retro design that is fashioned after the mid-20th century
Golden Age of Illustration travel posters. To learn more about Bolivia attractions and places of interest
in or near Copacabana, check out the Bolivia Travel Site.
