Bosnia & Herzegovina

About the Art
Lovers of Eastern European art, culture, food, history, and architecture might consider a trip to Bosnia
& Herzegovina. This country is rich in the above, with its people having maintained their Balkan
heritage through the Cold War and other challenges. Founded in 1452, the city of Mostar in particular is
the administrative center of Bosnia & Herzegovina and also one of the oldest still-inhabited cities in
Europe. Mostar is the home to ancient architectural relics of the 15th and 16th centuries, one of the
only cities in this region in which to see such relics. Pictured in handcrafted Anderson Design Group
illustration is the Old Bridge, a structure built by the Ottomans in the 16th century. You can order this
vintage travel poster as a pleasant reminder of a trip to Mostar. To learn more about the city and
country, check out Bosnia & Herzegovina Tourism.
