Brazil: Carnaval
2013 Joel Anderson
About the Art
Welcome to Brazil, the largest country in South America and a capital for festivals and public
celebrations. Brazil is the fifth largest country in the world for both land mass and population. With 194
million people living in this country, Brazil is a major center for commerce, culture, history, and
diversity. Brazil also has one of the largest economies in the world. Famous for its miraculous and
extravagant festivals and carnivals, Anderson Design Group honored the country with its own,
handcrafted artwork of a carnival dancer. You can remember a trip to the nation of celebration and
dance with vintage travel posters of Brazilian celebrations of Shrove Tuesday, Lent, Carnaval, New
Year’s Day, Independence Day, and so on. To learn more about these festivals and when to attend them,

Brasil.
