Canada: Jasper Sky Tram
2022 By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Canada is an icon of world travel, and of all the destinations in Canada that visitors seek, few earn as much fame as Jasper. This region is visually stunning, mountainous, and forested. To take all the views in at once, the Jasper SkyTram is an aerial tramway on the mountain called The Whistlers near Jasper, Alberta, Canada. It is the highest and longest guided aerial tramway in Canada and a must-experience for many visitors. It goes to a height of 7,425 ft above sea level with a travel time of 7.5 minutes. From the upper tramway station, the hike to the Whistlers Summit is a 660 ft elevation gain, to 8,081 ft. It is 4.3 miles south of Jasper, off the Icefields Parkway on Whistlers Road. It is a seasonal operation, running from late March to the end of October. It has been in operation since it was built in 1964. To celebrate this gorgeous attraction and the fame that follows it, Anderson Design Group poster artists rendered a vintage travel poster and original retro illustration in the style of early 20th-Century travel posters. This classic World Travel design will look great as a framed print, canvas, metal sign, mini-canvas, or as a postcard or a notecard.
