Canada: Moraine Lake
2015 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Some of the most beautiful features of Canada’s national parks are the alpine lakes, pristine, bright
blue, deep, clean, and chilly lakes that dot the highest regions of Canada’s mountain ranges. One such
lake is Moraine Lake, located in Banff National Park. The glacially fed lake is about 49 feet deep and
about one-fifth of a mile in surface area. The lake is so beautiful that it was even featured on the
Canadian Twenty Dollar bill in the 1960s and 1970s! Seeking to capture the natural beauty of the lake,
Anderson Design Group handcrafted a vintage travel poster, a fitting depiction of the lake and some of
its wildlife. You can order this classic artwork as a framed print, canvas banner, framed postcard,
notecard, or metal sign. To learn more about the lake and other Canada attractions, check out the Canada
Guide.
